Wyndham City is proud to be celebrating queer culture this summer with some fabulous performances on Saturday 12 February at Park Lounge, part of the Midsumma festival.
Come and be dazzled by an incredible line-up of LGBTQIA+ artists and allies in Werribee for an evening of luminous performances.
Kicking off at 5.30pm hosted by the charismatic Tristan Meecham & Bec Reid of All the Queens Men, the audience will enjoy an eclectic mix of captivating performances including music, theatre comedy and dance.
Wyndham City’s Creative City portfolio holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud, said: “Park Lounge is a popular feature on the Wyndham Calendar of events.”
“Park Lounge is a free event open to everyone. Wyndham City is proud to be presenting this fabulous night that celebrates queer culture.”
Multi-award-winning cabaret company YUMMY will light up the stage with stunning extracts from their feature-length shows incorporating drag, dance, circus and burlesque.
There will be comedy from internationally renowned Zoë Coombs Marr who has frequently appeared in comedy circles as Dave - these days she mostly appears as herself.
In the music category, queer noise-pop duo Cry Club will perform their danceable anthems and duo This Way North will present a sonic landscape of reverb-soaked guitars and rolling rhythms.
Plus, there’ll be a very special surprise guest performance from a previous Eurovision artist and heaps more hilarity, glitter and surprises in store throughout the evening.
So, come down to Kelly Park, find a spot, grab some dinner and drinks and settle in for what promises to be an incredible night of entertainment. This event is family and dog friendly.
Park Lounge is proudly part of Midsumma Festival! Tickets are not required.
