Every local government in NSW needs a Community Strategic Plan (CSP) that outlines a shared long-term vision and aspirations for the community.
Our community shaped our first CSP in 2016 when Northern Beaches Council was formed. We’re now ready to update the plan, but first, we want to confirm if your priorities for the future remain the same.
We’re also looking at aligning the next CSP with other big picture plans - like Towards 2040, Move Northern Beaches and Protect. Create. Live - which all point towards 2040.
You might ask, what’s in this plan for me? Our discussion paper shows you how we plan to strive towards your vision and meet your priorities.

Every local government needs a Community Strategic Plan.
It helps us understand a shared long-term vision and aspirations for the community.
Back in 2016, when Northern Beaches Council first formed, the community helped shaped our first plan.
Well, as it turns out times flies, and now we’re ready to update it.
But first, we want to confirm that the priorities identified back then remain the same.
And we want to show you how we plan to keep striving towards your vision and meet your priorities.
You might be asking, what are those PRIORITIES or what’s in the plan for me?
Well, jump online, take a look at our discussion paper and have your say.
The plan will be so much better for it.
