Gannawarra Shire ratepayers are reminded that those who pay their rates in full rather than installments will need to do so by Tuesday, 15 February 2022.
Payments through rates is one of the major ways Council receives revenue, which helps support services and projects that benefit residents and visitors.
“Your rates help support many of Council’s popular key services, including Maternal and Child Health, Children’s Services, Community Care, libraries, swimming pools and waste collection,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.
“Rateable income also enables Council to maintain many of the Gannawarra’s major buildings, as well as our extensive road, bridge and footpath networks.”
Ratepayers can pay their rates by one of the following options:
Online via BPay View, BPay or Post Billpay. Telephone and internet banking. In-store at any Australia Post branch. By mail. In person at Council’s Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang.“Ratepayers experiencing financial hardship, including people impacted by COVID-19, are encouraged to contact Council to make suitable and mutually acceptable arrangements,” Mr O’Reilly said.
“Residents who are paying their rates by instalments are reminded that payments are due on Monday, 28 February and Tuesday, 31 May.”
