The Role

The Manager Engaged Communities champions all aspects of the council's engagement work and partners with the organisation on all community engagement activities. The Engaged Communities team is one of the larger teams within the council and the new Manager will lead a team of 40-50 staff who fulfil the council's community development, community hubs, events, and customer service functions. Isaac Regional Council has a very well-regarded community development program, and the council is investing in continuously improving its engagement with its community and embedding community engagement principles into the broader business of the council.

The Person

This role is a pivotal position in the organisation, and is a key contributor to achieving the council's Noble Purpose of "Building communities through engagement, trust, innovation and value." The council is seeking a visionary leader who is engaged, collaborative, inquisitive, a genuine people person and a broker of mutually beneficial solutions with the council's community, corporate and elected member stakeholders. Council offers a very attractive executive salary package including modern accommodation in Moranbah and a fully maintained vehicle.
