The endorsement of three revised policies and the noting of Council’s mid-year financial records highlighted Gannawarra Shire Council’s February 2022 meeting.
Held virtually via Zoom and broadcast via Counci’s website, the major item of discussion was the endorsement of three reviewed Council policies:
Rates Subsidy: This policy details criteria to be met in order for organisations to apply for a 50 per cent subsidy for current rates; Lanes – Roadways: This policy informs the community on how Council manages the 16 kilometres of laneways located within the municipality; and Private Assets in Road Reserves: This policy outlines the process for managing private assets within road reserves.Review of the 2021/22 Quarterly Budget Report as of 31 December 2021 was noted, which outlined that Council’s budgeted underlying surplus of $586,000 will increase to $1.336 million thanks to earlier than anticipated sales of industrial estate lots.
