Council is bringing back Ten Days in the Towers as part of the 150 Celebrations.
Ten Days in the Towers was initially implemented to encourage tourists to our region in the lead up to the Country Music Festival; a festival which recently celebrated its 40th Anniversary.
Councillor Graham Lohmann, whose portfolio includes communities, is excited to see the historic event return as part of the 150 Celebrations.
“This festival is a great way to encourage visitors to our region to plan their stays and to make those stays a little longer,” he said.
The Festival will run from Friday, 22 April through to Sunday, 1 May 2022 and will include local markets, exhibitions, live music, and workshops, as well as some special 150 Celebration events.
Council is producing a Ten Days in the Towers program booklet that will contain details on the events planned during the festival.
“It is a great time for local groups and organisations to plan events over this 10 day period.
“Event organisers are encouraged to submit their events online to be included in the program,” said Cr Lohmann.
Submissions for the program close 4pm Monday, 14 March 2022 and can be made online at charterstowers.qld.gov.au/ten-days-in-the-towers.
