Clean Up Australia Day

Join the Moree Chapter of OzFish Unlimited and Moree Plains Shire Council this Sunday 6 March at 12:30 pm for Clean Up Australia Day. This year’s event is helping to restore local waterways and riverbanks to their former glory and is focussing on Moree’s Mehi River corridor.

Volunteers will meet in the Tourism Moree car park (Alice Street, Moree) where they’ll register. Volunteers will be given their Clean Up Kits and safety equipment for the Mehi River cleaning trail.

This event is open to all community members and is suitable for all ages. However, parental supervision is required for children under 16 years of age.

Registration is essential so volunteers can be provided with the correct Clean Up Australia Day Clean Up Kits. Don’t forget to wear appropriate clothing, hats and footwear and don’t forget sunscreen.
