Electronic Speed Limit Signs Upgrade

The existing electronic speed limit signs have reached the end of their serviceable life, and this project will see upgraded replacement signs installed across the state.

Signs will be replaced in the north of the state between Tuesday 8th March 2022 and Friday 15th April 2022.

The work will involve removing the existing signs, and then testing the new signs before installing them onto existing poles at each site.

Work will be undertaken Monday to Friday from 7am - 5pm, stopping during peak times to minimise disruption to school traffic during the usual drop-off and pick up times.

Traffic impacts

Most of the electronic speed limit sign replacement work will be completed without any impact to pedestrians or road users.

In some locations, footpaths and traffic lanes may be closed and traffic management put in place for safety of pedestrians and road users.
