Popular children’s book The Bear who loved to Dance will be brought to life through music at the Millmerran Cultural Centre on Sunday 20 March.
Toowoomba Regional Council Environment and Community Committee portfolio leader Councillor Tim McMahon said the free concert would entertain the whole family.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to see the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra perform live and it’s set to be a great show, both for the young and the young at heart,” Cr McMahon said.
“The concert is presented by the Empire Theatre and the Toowoomba Region Libraries First 5 Forever program, which supports literacy development in kids in a fun and interactive way.
“Many families will be familiar with the regular story time and baby rhyme time sessions run throughout the Region.
“This concert is an extension of that program and is an exciting introduction to orchestral music for kids.
“You don’t have to be an existing library member or have participated in other First 5 Forever programs to attend – everyone is welcome!
“It’s a great opportunity to take a Sunday drive in the countryside with the family and make a day of it.
“The show is free, however bookings are essential, so get in quickly to secure your spot.”
The Bear who loved to Dance will be held at the Millmerran Cultural Centre on Sunday, March 20 at 11.30am.
