Charters Towers Regional Council is encouraging everyone to get in quick to register for the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt at Centenary Park on Sunday, 27 March 2022.

Community portfolio councillor, Sonia Bennetto, said the Easter Egg Hunt was a huge hit last year and doesn’t want anyone to miss out on this year’s fun event.

“Registrations for the Easter Egg Hunt are essential.  We’ve already seen great numbers registering for this event, so I am encouraging everyone to register now to avoid disappointment,” said Cr Bennetto.

Five (5) session times are available for the Easter Egg Hunt:

Session 1: 8:30am – 9:00am Session 2: 9:00am – 9:30am Session 3: 9:30am – 10:00am Session 4: 10:00am- 10:30am Session 5: 10:30am – 11:00am

Registrations close on Friday, 25 March 2022 and can be made online at bit.ly/CTRC-Easter

“The Easter Egg Hunt will be run in conjunction with the Charity Markets to make it a fun day for the entire family, not just the kids.  Scheduling the Egg Hunt to happen at the same time and location as the markets means it is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Centenary Park as a family,” said Cr Bennetto.

Council is also encouraging kids to enter the Easter Colour In Competition, with winner and random draw prizes up for grabs in three different age categories.

Entries for the Easter Colour In Competition close at 4pm on Wednesday, 6 April 2022, with entry forms available from Council’s Administration Centre, the Excelsior Library, and online at bit.ly/CTRC-Easter.

Once the kids have found all the eggs and the family have wandered through the markets, Council is encouraging families to head to the Kennedy Regiment Memorial Pool for more fun.

A pool party is planned from 12pm - 3pm, with a free sausage sizzle and pool inflatable to keep everyone entertained.  Entry to the pool will be free all day.
