PICNIC POINT & WEST ULVERSTONE BEACHES | CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE – 29 MARCH

Central Coast Council have closed Picnic point and West Ulverstone Beach from Amy Street to the Josephine Street entrance due to very high bacterial levels from 5pm on 29 March 2022.  A map indicating affected areas and where warning signs have been installed on site is shown below.

TasWater and the Council are working together to identify what is causing the high bacterial levels.  Further water sampling will be undertaken over the next week.

The Council regrets any inconvenience caused.  The community will be advised when Picnic Point and West Ulverstone Beaches are reopened for recreation.
