Studio44, 44 Latham Street, Chermside Saturday, April 30, 2022, 10am – 2:30pm Brisbane City Council’s Pop-up Shop Program encourages property owners with vacant shops in Brisbane to provide temporary use of their property to businesses wanting to trial a bricks and mortar store.With the help of the Pop-up Shop Program, Art from the Urban Wilderness has opened a print studio and art gallery in Chermside. The space is also open for events to experience a variety of art techniques including printmaking, drawing and collage.Learn how to create a concertina-book format in this workshop, that combines drawing, tracing, and monoprints to create atmospheric imagery of shape, line and colour. Sandra Pearce, your tutor, will share her experimental techniques, including printing using a gelatine plate, to help you create a unique narrative that expresses your personal response to the natural world.This workshop is suitable for everyone including curious beginners.
