Charters Towers Regional Council is excited to reveal a program of activities for residents and visitors to enjoy these school holidays, at the Excelsior Library and World Theatre.
The School Holiday Program will commence on Monday, 4 April until Thursday, 14 April 2022.
This two (2) week program offers a variety of movies and activities for all to enjoy.
Councillor Sonia Bennetto said the Excelsior Library and the World Theatre would provide great entertainment for Charters Towers during the upcoming School Holidays.
“If you’re looking for ways to keep the kids entertained these school holidays, look no further than the Excelsior Library and the World Theatre.
“The free activities on offer at the Excelsior Library will give local children and visitors to the Region the chance to spend quality time with loved ones while enjoying fun activities,” said Cr Bennetto.
“The varying Excelsior Library craft activities are going to be lots of fun. You can bring your friends and family as many times as you wish; just be sure to pre-book with the lovely ladies at the Excelsior Library.
Excelsior Library School Holiday highlights include:
• Cactus Knot Pillow making – Wednesday, 6 April
• Creative Easter Cooking – Friday, 8 April
• Felt Hopping Bunny making – Tuesday, 12 April
• Paper Mache Baskets – Wednesday, 13 April

“The World Theatre has been keeping kids entertained during the school holidays for many years and these school holidays are no different”, explains Cr Bennetto.
World Theatre School Holiday highlights include the following movies:

• LEGO DC: Shazam! Magic & Monster
• My Spy

The candy bar will be open and selling the best popcorn and choc tops, with a great selection of movies for young and young at heart. At just $8 per ticket per session, it is great value for money.
Cr Bennetto said the School Holiday program had something for everyone to enjoy.
“Everyone can come and enjoy the School Holiday program. There will be new activities daily at the Excelsior Library, suitable for all ages and skills. Parents of younger kids can come along and enjoy Story Time, and the movie screenings at the World Theatre can be enjoyed by all members of the family.”
