SHIRE OF CRANBROOK COVID PREPARATION

The Shire of Cranbrook has been preparing for the potential disruption to services when Covid-19 case numbers become high. To ensure the least disruption possible, various plans have been put in place to ensure safety of staff and the community and these are captured in the Shire’s Public Covid-19 Management Plan on our website and in other internal procedures.

We know that that Covid-19 has reached our community, and it will continue to have an impact in terms of closures to schools, businesses and to Shire facilities.  Whilst we have, as a team at the Shire of Cranbrook, evaluated what services we can continue to provide in challenging circumstances, it may be likely that we will have to close eventually whilst working at home or by being available via email or phone.

While we are not yet certain about when the high case numbers will end, State Government modelling shows a peak at the end of March. Based on what has been experienced in NSW and VIC, numbers remain high for a period of 2-3 months. During this time, we will endeavour to provide normal services, however, in the event of a disruption, your patience and understanding is appreciated.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us should we be able to assist you in any way in these challenging and rapidly changing times.
