Neon gardens, live music, roaming entertainers, a cocktail bar, food trucks and more are part of new event, Wander On Q that will see Queen Street come to life on Saturday 23 April.
Wander On Q will stage events at three locations on and around Queen Street and include roaming buskers, entertainers and coloured lighting throughout the precinct from Campbelltown Railway Station to Campbelltown Mall.
Live music will be performed in a space transformed into a glowing garden at the Wander the Green event on Short Street, between Railway Street and Patrick Street) It will include an outdoor bar, food trucks, face painting and entertainment activities.
A dance event will be held at the purpose-built, Forum Q movement space on Queen Street and Lithgow Street plaza, featuring a local dance crew and DJ that will inspire everyone to find their groove. Clips of Western Sydney dance performers filmed at the space will light up a giant screen as a backdrop to the whole scene.
Roaming jugglers, face painting and more live music will fill the brightly decorated space for the Colour Wander event on Queen Street, between Dumaresq Street and Allman Street.
A map created for the event will highlight the variety of cuisine on offer in and around Queen Street that night, and some restaurants offering special meal deals.
To accommodate the open street nature of this event and the setup, some roads and one carpark in the Campbelltown CBD will be closed in the lead-up to the event including:
