Looking for something to keep the kids entertained across the Easter school holidays?
Rosalie Gallery and Crows Nest Gallery will be hosting free activities for families over the break.
Goombungee’s Rosalie Gallery is inviting children and families to unleash their creativity and help build ‘Our Perfect New World’ through drawing and block activities designed by artist Sue Loveday.
The activities are part of a Flying Arts touring exhibition titled Decadence, which showcases the finalists of the 2020 Queensland Regional Art Awards.
Families are invited to view the exhibition and add to a collaborative sculpture by co-designing their perfect new world with others.
Activities will run until Sunday, 1 May.
Families and children in the Crows Nest area can experience a range of free art-making activities at Crows Nest Gallery with the APT10 Kids on Tour, a program presented by the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern (QAGOMA).
The activities connect families with ideas and cultures from across Australia, Asia and the Pacific and celebrate community, diversity and mindful contemplation.
Activities start on Wednesday, 6 April and run until Sunday, 1 May.
The free activities are available to enjoy at both galleries during opening hours of 10.30am to 3.30pm, Wednesday to Sunday, with no bookings required.
Rosalie Gallery is located at 89 Mocatta Street, Goombungee and Crows Nest Gallery is located at the corner of the New England Highway and William Street, Crows Nest.
