Perth’s Biggest Golden Egg Hunt

Sunday 10–Thursday 14 April, 11.30am–4pm | Walyalup/Fremantle

We’re hosting a massive five-day egg hunt these school holidays with $1000 to be won each day plus other daily prizes! So get your best egg hunting team together, grab your walking gear and binoculars and join us for this cracking adventure.

Follow the trail of clues and keep your eyes peeled for golden eggs hidden in wondrous places, plus some unexpected surprises along the way.

School of Puppetry workshop: Junk Puppets

Monday 11 + Thursday 14 April, 12–1.30pm | Fremantle PCYC + Fremantle Library

Learn how to create fantastical creature puppets from junk!

Utilising recycled materials along with wire, glue, drills, saws, hammers and loads of imagination, children will create their very own puppets.

This workshop is suitable for ages 9-14 and is proudly hosted by Freo Toy Library and facilitated by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.

In this popular workshop, children will create their own puppet characters using a range of soft fabric materials and their own creativity.

This workshop is suited for kids aged 4–8 years and is proudly hosted by the Freo Toy Library and facilitated by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.

Mindfulness Movement

Tuesday 12 April, 4–5pm | Walyalup Koort Terrace

Relax and unwind at Walyalup Koort! Learn the art of mindfulness, movement and mediation to help focus and calm your mind.

Plus explore the benefits of strengthening, stretching and resting for better health and wellbeing.

This session is part of an eight-week program taking place each Tuesday from 5 April until 24 May.

No experience required and BYO yoga mat. Suitable for ages 12-25.

BMX Coaching Workshop: Beginners and Intermediate

Tuesday 12 April, 9–10am (Beginners ages 5+) + 10.30–11.30am (Intermediate ages 5+) | Esplanade Youth Plaza

Learn a range of cool new tricks and gain advice on how to upskill your riding! Instructors from Freestyle Now will be on hand to assist.

Two sessions will take place across the day, including beginners and intermediate suitable for ages 5+.

Fremantle Youth Network presents Youth Week 2022!

Wednesday 13 April, 1–6pm | Esplanade Youth Plaza

We’re bringing a whole heap of fun to Esplanade Youth Plaza (EYP) to celebrate Youth Week! Take part in free scooter, parkour and circus workshops while listening to an unbeatable lineup of youth performers.

You’ll also be able to Pick-Up-A-Trick with our friends at Circus WA, receive free face painting and hang out in the Chill Out Zone. See you at EYP!

Perth Parkour Coaching Workshop: Ages 8+

Wednesday 13 + 14 April, 3–4.30pm, 4.30–6pm + 2–3.30, 3.30–5pm | Esplanade Youth Plaza

Learn parkour, the art of moving as smoothly as possible to overcome various obstacles!

In these sessions participants will learn how to vault, balance, roll and climb thanks to the expert trainers from Perth Parkour.

Skateboarding Coaching Workshop: Women’s Skate Night

Thursday 14 April, 5–6pm (Ages 8–12) + 6.30–7.30pm (Ages 12+) | Esplanade Youth Plaza

This women’s-only clinic is a safe space for girls, mums, daughters and anyone identifying as a woman to come learn how to skateboard.

Expert coaches from Freestyle Now will be there to help participants learn the basic skills of skateboarding and some fun tricks too!

Nyoongar Storytime and Boomerang Decorating

Friday 15 + 22 April, 11am–12pm | Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre

Come and join us with Nyoongar Elder Betty Garlett for this informative cultural activity tailored for little ones and their parents.

The session will be held at the Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which offers various programs, workshops and cultural tours across the year to learn about Nyoongar culture.

Wild Freo

Saturday 16–Monday 18 April | Walyalup/Fremantle

Join us across the Easter long weekend for Wild Freo, a reworked Fremantle Street Arts Festival for 2022.

Heritage spaces, parklands and streets will be transformed into animal sanctuaries through diverse artforms including theatre, puppetry, dance, design, illustration, animation, sound, and sculpture—art and animal lovers can play and explore their way through a weekend of free and ticketed events.

This is a magical experience not to be missed with events suited to the whole family.

Scooter Coaching Workshop: Intermediate

Tuesday 19 April, 9–10am (Girls ages 6+) + 10.30–11.30am (Boys ages 6+) | Montreal Skatepark

Get the help of Freestyle Now to help advance your scooter skills!

This clinic will assess skill level, encourage good technique and cover the next progression of moves and skate park etiquette for users and parents.

If you can already balance, kick and push then this clinic is for you to advance and learn some cool new tricks thanks to coaches from Freestyle Now.

This free workshop will allow participants to further develop their skateboarding skills and learn to drop in.

Freo Toy Library Waste Holiday Program

Thursday 21 April, 10am–12pm | Fremantle PCYC

We’re making waste education fun with this interactive holiday program!

Bring the kids along to one of our two waste education sessions, where they will learn about avoiding landfill, participate in a series of games and experience a visit from the Recycle Truck.

Facilitated by Recycle Right, their waste education program teaches kids and adults the top five G.R.E.A.T. behaviours of gifting, recycling, earthcycling, avoiding and taking to avoid landfill and get waste in the right place.

The Fremantle PCYC will also be putting on a fundraiser with bacon and egg burgers and a sausage sizzle on the day. All ages welcome!
