Lithgow City Council is seeking applications for funding from not-for-profit organisations for local community projects and activities.
Through the Financial Assistance Program, Lithgow City Council supports not for profit organisations each year to deliver community projects across the LGA.
Grants of generally up to $3,000 are provided on a competitive basis to community organisations to help them with local projects and activities that demonstrate a broad community benefit.
“Each year Council receives a number of very worthwhile submissions from local organisations with new and innovative ideas of how they can support the community,” said the Mayor Maree Statham.
The types of requests that may receive Financial Assistance include projects that:
Support and empower young people and vulnerable community members. Retain, respect and strengthen our community and support the unique needs of various groups across the LGA. Celebrate and empower our multicultural community and our First Nations people. Promote positive health, including mental health, and wellbeing at all stages of life. Support and celebrate the cultural and creative richness of our community. Balance, protect and enhance our diverse environment, both natural and built.“I encourage the many local groups that are doing such work in supporting our community to submit an application by Monday 2 May 2022 closing date,” concluded the Mayor.
All requests for Financial Assistance must be on the official Financial Assistance Application Form. Application forms and guidelines can be obtained by visiting Council’s website at http://council.lithgow.com/financial-assistance/. Funding will be available from July 2022.
Submit your application to [email protected] or by post to 180 Mort St Lithgow 2790.
