The draft of the Community Strategic Plan (CSP), which sets out the goals and aspirations of the Moree Plains Shire community, is now available for public comment.

The Community Strategic Plan called Our Moree Plains – Our Vision to 2032, is a document that identifies the priorities and goals for the Shire for the next 10 years. Council is required to review the plan with the community after each Local Government Election.

Mayor Mark Johnson encourages all community members to review and comment on the draft Community Strategic Plan.

“From today until Friday 6 May, the draft CSP is available to the public and we want you to have your say”, said Mayor Johnson.

“The more feedback gathered, the stronger the Community Strategic Plan will be and the bigger the impact it will have.”

“We truly live in one of the best places in Australia and together we can reflect that in our commitment to its future.”

The Community Strategic Plan will be finalised prior to 30 June 2022 and will help create Council’s Delivery Program 2022–2025 and Operational Plan and Budget 2022–2023.

Mayor Johnson added, “I would like to thank everyone who participated during the Community Strategic Plan consultation period in February and March 2022. It is because of your valuable input; we have been able to develop this important draft Community Strategic Plan document.”

Comments on any of the draft documents should be mailed to the General Manager PO Box 420, Moree NSW 2400, or emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
