ROAD SURFACE MAINTENANCE WORK ON BASS HIGHWAY, WEST ULVERSTONE

The Tasmanian Government is funding maintenance work on Bass Highway, West Ulverstone at the Knights Road Underpass to provide a stronger, longer lasting and safer road. The Department of State Growth will carry out the work, which includes repairing the road surface.
Works will be undertaken from Tuesday, 12 April to Wednesday, 13 April 2022 between 9.30am and 3.30pm and are expected to be completed in two days, weather permitting.
There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure workers and road users are safe. Lane closures and a reduced speed limit will be in place during work hours and may affect travel times. Motorists should allow up to 15 minutes extra travel time during this work.
The works involve the use of machinery which generates noise. Very effort will be made to minimise noise by arranging the work in stages at different locations and turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.
Please keep to speed limits and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.
