Lithgow Council advises that garbage and recycling collections will occur as normal during the Easter period, including on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Residents should put their bins out as usual on their collection day. 

The Household Chemical Clean out is scheduled for Sunday 5th June 2022.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this once-a-year service to present their household chemicals.

Council is providing a free chemical cleanout with the service open to the public between 8am – 4pm at the Lithgow Council Works Depot, 142 Mort Street Lithgow.

The following items will be accepted:

From your home: Solvents & household cleaners, floor care products, ammonia based cleaners, fluorescent globes & tubes. From your car: Batteries, motor oils & fluids. From the garage: Paint, pesticides, herbicides, poisons, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, pool chemicals, acids & alkalis.
