Businesses and community members are encouraged to have their say on Council’s draft Economic Development Strategy.
Businesses are encouraged to provide their response to the Building a Stronger Economy Strategy (The Economic Development Strategy).
The draft Economic Development Strategy focusses on Council’s response to the impacts of COVID19 on businesses within Cardinia Shire and to establish key priority areas and outcomes for the next few years.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jeff Springfield is encouraging businesses and locals to have their say on this important strategy.
“The draft strategy’s mission statement is to help create a robust and thriving economy that would attract, retain and grow businesses and jobs.
“This is spot on and vital for the businesses and our community here in Cardinia Shire who have had a tough time as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our local businesses have faced a lot of uncertainty suffered from the impacts of the pandemic and lockdown restrictions.
“Council is there to help our businesses bounce back with a range of support options through our Economic Development Team.
“As a community we need to support local and help our businesses continue to thrive so jump online and have your say on our draft Economic Development Strategy.”
