Beaconsfield ANZAC Service 2022 Monday 25th April at RSL Park, BeaconsfieldCouncil along with the Beaconsfield RSL Sub-Branch held an ANZAC Day Mid-Morning Service at RSL Park, Beaconsfield on Monday 25th April 2022.
It started with a march along Weld Street stepping off at 10:45am, followed by an 11am service hosted by West Tamar Council Mayor Christina Holmdahl.
The ANZAC Requiem was delivered by Beaconsfield RSL Sub-Branch President Julia Roberts and our guest speaker Captain Stacey Porter RAN, spoke about a the life of a serviceman who was born in Beaconsfield.
Other speakers included Youth Mayor Elizabeth Sexton who detailed why we should give to Legacy, Beaconsfield Primary School students Adyson Donahue and Lilly-Rose Horder who read an ANZAC poem, and Exeter High School students Layla Seen and Macy Vanderberg who delivered an ANZAC speech.
Thank you also to Local Church Representatives, the West Tamar Band, Beaconsfield Fire Brigade and Kelso Fire Brigade volunteers, Carl Cooper, and Di Alexander who all participated in the service.
