Upgrades to J. E. Duggan Park now officially opened to the public

Significant upgrades to J. E. Duggan Park have now been officially opened to the public thanks to a partnership between Toowoomba Regional Council and the Queensland State Government.
The park recently received improved amenities including new picnic shelters, BBQs, a new shelter and accessible deco paths connecting the amenities.
The project cost $260,000 and was funded by Council and the Queensland State Government’s Building Our Regions fund.
Council’s Environment and Community Services Portfolio Lead Cr Tim McMahon said the upgrades would make J. E. Duggan Park even better for all users.
“J. E. Duggan Park is one of the only parks in the Region with fully accessible trails for wheelchair users and these upgrades will provide even better amenities for those who use the park.
“The upgrade was part of Council’s wider Toowoomba Escarpment Parks upgrade program, an effort to improve and beautify our parks along the escarpment.
“Council is grateful for the money we received under the State Government’s Building Our Regions fund to allow us to undertake these significant improvements,” Cr McMahon said.
