Talented young people from Lithgow enjoyed Lithgow’s natural beauty and open spaces with activities organised by Lithgow City Council for the Autumn School Holiday Break.
A diverse range of activities were enjoyed by young people and their families:
Learning to manage stress and improve overall wellbeing with the sound of “Students of life” crystal bowls at Lithgow Library Exploring Lithgow surroundings and natural beauty in a safe way through learning survival skills with “Leafy adventures” at Lithgow Blast Furnace. Rocking on with Hollow Point and a little stand-up comedy in Cook Street Plaza Learning how to skateboard with Totem Collective with the music of DJ Jum Wubble and MC Kleenex at Lithgow Skatepark.Families and young people enjoyed having some quality leisure time. “This is a great day, thank you Lithgow City Council,” said a father of two. “I can sit in front of the skatepark with music and see my kids having fun while they learn how to skateboard.”
Lithgow City Council wants to thank everyone who joined in, especially the Barnados Australia Youth Worker Team, which travelled several hours to support our activities.
