Local artist and Acquisitive winner at the Springsure Art Awards 2022, Sharon Kirk, encourages anyone with a flair for the creative to submit a piece to the upcoming Emerald Art Awards.
Sharon took out this converted award for her piece “Landscape Colours,” an eco print on watercolour paper depicting the essence of the landscape.
‘My arts practice and career has been given a wonderful boost by winning the Acquisitive section,’ said Sharon Kirk.
‘Entering an art competition such as the Emerald Art Awards is an excellent opportunity to develop your art career through publicity and the extra confidence that exposing your works to a bigger audience can bring.’
‘It can also help in developing an understanding of your own art by standing back and seeing it through another’s eyes.’
Submissions for the Emerald Art Awards will be open until 5.00 pm Friday 15 July 2022.
This year’s awards will include seven categories:
