TEMPORARY CLOSURES | CENTRAL COAST REST AREAS

Commencing Wednesday 8 June 2022 until further notice, the below Central Coast camping areas have been temporarily closed.  The camping areas have been closed due to a combination of inclement weather conditions and irresponsible reckless driving behaviour by users.

Forth – Forth Recreation Ground Preservation Bay – Penguin Surf Life Saving Club (east of and around) Sulphur Creek – Hall Point (a small section on the right hand side as you enter).

At Forth and Preservation Bay rest areas, motorhomes can no longer safely navigate to lawned camping areas.  Similar closures were put into effect last year to mitigate accident risk and to prevent excessive damage to lawned areas.

All motorhome campers affected by these closures have been contacted by Council staff. 

The Council regrets any inconvenience caused by the temporary rest area closures.  The community will be notified via Facebook and the website when these rest areas have been reopened for public use.
