Redland City Council Parks and Conservation Crews will be undertaking a planned burn in Redland Bay on Monday 13 June 2022, weather permitting.
The burn is located in the Bayview Conservation Area, at 273-305 Days Road, Redland Bay.
All attempts will be made to limit any smoke hazards.
Traffic management (advisory signs and smoke hazard signs) will be in place and motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions.
Residents should close windows and doors, and keep medications close by if suffering a respiratory condition.
The purpose of the burn is to reduce the volume of forest litter fuel, which will assist with hazard reduction – reducing the fire danger and providing conditions essential for native regeneration.
