Council noted that 24 June 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the Rotary Club and agreed to write to and congratulate the Rotary Club of Epping on this milestone. (Item 8.1) Council congratulated members of the Parramatta City Band who won the Division 1 contest and the Division 1 entertainment section of the East Coast Championships, and the Lord Mayor will write to the band to congratulate them. (Item 8.2) Council noted Suellen Fitzgerald will step down from her role as CEO of the Greater Sydney Parklands (GSP) and the Lord Mayor will write to and thank her for her leadership and contributions. (Item 8.3) Council noted concerns raised by the former ATSI Advisory Committee an members of the community on the absence of an Aboriginal Flag being flown by Council on an ongoing basis and agreed to fly the flag alongside the Australian National Flag at Council’s flagpole on the Parramatta River foreshore. (Item 8.4) Council noted the minutes of the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee Meeting held on 24 February 2022. (Item 12.1) Council noted the Investment Report for May 2022. (Item 12.2) Council authorised the write-off of outstanding rates and charges for 65 Kleins Road, Northmead. (Item 13.1) Council authorised the write-off of outstanding rates and charges for the properties identified in the Council report for Item 13.2 and noted that Sydney Metro is exempt under s555(1)(a) of the Local Government Act 1993. (Item 13.2) Council adopted the draft Code of Meeting Practice. (Item 13.3) Council confirmed the setting of annual fees for the period of 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023 for the Lord Mayor and Councillors to be the maximum permissible levels and agreed for the Lord Mayor and Councillors to receive superannuation contributions from 1 July 2022. (Item 13.4) Council nominated the Lord Mayor, Councillor Davis, Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Pandey and Councillors Noack, Prociv, Humphries, Esber, Bradley, Garrard, Siviero and Maclean as Council’s voting delegates for the Local Government NSW Board Election to fill the Metropolitan/ Urban Director vacancy. (Item 13.5) Council approved the extension of Charles Fortin to the Major Projects Advisory Committee (MPAC) for a further three (3) years to 1 August 2025. (Item 13.6) Council endorsed the amended Community Strategic Plan (CSP) for 2018-38 with minor amendments. (Item 13.7) Council noted the minutes of the Traffic Engineering Advisory Group meeting held on 25 May 2022 and approved the recommendations of the Group. (Item 13.8) Council noted the minutes of the Parramatta Traffic Committee meeting held on 25 May 2022 and approved the recommendations of the Committee. (Item 13.9) Council approved for $7,778.10 from the Façade Improvement Grant to co-fund façade improvement works by Circa Expresso (19-21 Wentworth Street, Parramatta). (Item 13.10) Council declared the grass area located adjacent to Grant Close, identified in the West Epping Park Masterplan as a dog off-leash area. (Item 13.11) Council approved the submission attached in the report to Transport for NSW (TfNSW). (Item 13.12) Council classified Lot 80 in DP 1271742, 6 & 8 Parramatta Square ‘Council Public Domain Lot’ and Lot 81 in DP 1271742, 6 & 8 Parramatta Square ‘Council Basement Lot’ as operational land. (Item 13.13) Council agreed to streamline the process for Councillor and community feedback into strategic planning documents and ensure the process identifies clearly opportunities for Councillor consultation and feedback in a timely matter. (Item 14.1) Council noted the NSW Government’s recent announcement to fund $600 million toward the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 and agreed for the Lord Mayor to write to the Premier of NSW and the Minister for Transport. (Item 14.2) Council agreed to, on a trial by trial basis, promote Wentworth Street Car Park for visitors to Harris Park and Parramatta CBD at a 50% subsidised rate on Monday to Friday evenings and all day Saturdays and Sundays. (Item 14.3) Council noted the Legal Status Report as at 31 May 2022. (Item 16.1) Council deferred the matter concerning Write Off of Sundry Debtor Accounts – Bad Debts to the next Finance Committee meeting.
