Macedon Ranges Shire Council is seeking community members who are passionate about Stanley Park in Mount Macedon to join the Stanley Park Community Asset Committee.
Stanley Park is a public bushland reserve of approximately 6.5 hectares and contains a unique and ecologically significant grassland and good quality riparian and woodland native vegetation.
Visitors are attracted to the reserve to view the site’s waterfall, bushwalk through the natural landscape, picnic at the barbeque facilities or utilise the playground.
Responsibilities of the committee include the maintenance of the garden beds and bushland areas of the park and the removal of litter. Members will be appointed for a maximum duration of three years, and will be eligible for reappointment at the end of this term. Council will remain responsible for maintenance of most of the physical assets in the site.
