Roads update – 13 July 2022

Council has replaced a collapsed culvert on Pines Road today and will be replacing another one on Pigman Creek Road tomorrow.

Work to repair the hill section of Theresa Creek Road beyond Dugans Road was completed on Monday and the road crew has now returned to the construction job at the start of the road which was started a couple of months ago. This job is expected to take two weeks to complete.

Flood damage repairs are continuing on Collins Creek Road, while works on Baraimal Lane should be completed this week. The grader will then move to Studders Lane.

We are also undertaking flood damage repairs on Atkins Road, and completed repairs on a wet spot on Tabulam Road yesterday. The replacement of the collapsed large diameter pipe on Hootons Road should be completed this week.

Pothole patching is continuing along the Clarence Way between Tabulam Road and Bottle Creek Road. The other pothole patching crew will be working on the Summerland Way all week.

Our road construction crews are working on Hootons Road, Sextonville Road, Theresa Creek Road (as mentioned above), and Mallanganee Range on the Bruxner Highway.

Bridge construction crews are currently building new bridges on Bingeebeebra Creek Road, Aspreys Road, Walshes Road, and Castilles Road. Contractors building the bridge at Cedar Point expect to complete the job in August.

Lions Road remain closed north of Murphy Standfield’s culvert to the border.
