Planned hazard reduction burn: Capella

Weather permitting, a hazard reduction burn is planned for the weekend of 23 to 24 July 2022.

Affected areas include but are not limited to:

Lot 182TT18 road reserve from the east end of Langton Street to the east end of Retro StreetLot 2 SP192695 from the east end of Baily StreetLot 1 SP193695 from the east end of Capella High School.

Local residents may see ash and smell smoke, although every attempt will be made to keep this at a minimum.

Hazard reduction burns are carried out in partnership between Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, local urban and rural fire units, and council.
