Labourer/Cleaner P&G

Come and work as a vital member of our Parks & Gardens (P&G) team here at Mareeba Shire Council, located within an easy one-hour drive from Cairns offering a regional lifestyle with all its benefits in relatively close proximity to Cairns.

The Role:

The Labourer/Cleaner P&G will be responsible to undertake a variety of duties to assist in the presentation and maintenance of Council’s open spaces.

What we are looking for:

You will have the ability to perform general cleaning and maintenance duties You will need to be able to safely operate Council owned plant such as mowers, brush cutters and chainsaws, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills You will have a high level reliability and punctuality You will have a current QLD C Class Driver Licence (LR Licence is desirable) You will need to be able to start work at 4am, as well as being available for weekend work You will need to be physically fit to undertake manual handling and labouring tasks in hot and humid conditions

You will also need to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical assessment which includes a drug and alcohol screen.
