In celebration of local government week 2022, the Moree Community Library presents ‘Moree Council Then & Now’, a tribute to 130 years of local government in the Shire.
The month-long exhibition dives into the history of local government within the Shire and features a collection of Council artifacts, newspaper articles, photographs and historical insights.
The exhibition opens at 1 pm on Monday 1 August and daily tours will begin at 10:30 am the following day and will run for the duration of Local Government Week (2–5 August).
As part of the celebrations, past Councillors and General Managers are kindly invited to attend a pre-opening event at 10.30 am on 1 August.
