Upper Hunter Shire school students are invited to attend the Upper Hunter Shire and Kia Ora Youth Music Camp in September.
The three-day, non-residential camp is open to school-age students who attend a school or reside in the Upper Hunter Shire.
During the popular annual event, hundreds of young performers will spend three days working and rehearsing with some amazing tutors and conductors, in preparation for a final concert.
"This is an excellent opportunity for budding musicians, as well as those who wish to try something new in the area of the creative arts," Mayor Maurice Collison said.
"There are even places available for students who have no previous background in voice, dance or instrumental tuition."
The music camp encourages young talent and motivates them to develop music in their lives by providing awards and scholarships.
A variety of enrolment options is available with classes in concert band, strings, choir, piano, and the Amazing Voice Competition. Other electives include dance and marimbas.
Enrolments are now open online. Enrolling early ensures the best chance of students getting their first preference of electives.
The camp will be held from Wednesday, September 7 to Friday, September 9 with the finale concert on the Friday night from 6pm at Scone High School.
