Wanneroo Council accepted a tender from Belgravia Health and Leisure Group for the management and maintenance of the Carramar and Marangaroo golf courses at Tuesday night’s Ordinary Council Meeting.

Many members of our local golfing community enjoy the traditional golfing experience, and the City is committed to continuing to deliver this type of facility while creating opportunities to provide a more inclusive community hub.

The recent tender was required by the expiry of the current contract and leases, which were last approved by Council in 2017. The tender invited experienced parties to make submissions to manage and operate the golf courses for a 10-year period. Current operator, DC Golf, was included in the tender process.

The successful tender submission from Belgravia Health and Leisure Group provides the best opportunities for the future of the Carramar and Marangaroo golf courses, and aligns with the City’s Golf Courses Strategic Plan and goals to revitalise the courses and make them more appealing to a wider range of users through new services and facilities.

As a long-term partner of the City, DC Golf has played a key role in the success of these much-loved community facilities. We are grateful to DC Golf, in particular Tim Crosbie and Robert Farley, for their contributions to generations of golf at the courses and more widely to our local community.

The City will work closely with DC Golf and Belgravia Health and Leisure Group throughout the transition to ensure services continue uninterrupted. Existing services, including hospitality, pro shop and training/lessons, will be maintained under the new contract with Belgravia.
