Cardinia Shire Council has joined with the Australian Red Cross to host a donation drop-off event in September.

Cardinia Shire Council has joined with the Australian Red Cross to host a donation drop-off event in September.    Residents are invited to load up their car boots with quality pre-loved clothing and homewares and drive-thru the contactless collection point where Council’s Waste Management Team and Australian Red Cross volunteers will unload the goods.     Donations will be accepted from 9am to 2pm on Saturday 10 September at IYU Reserve, 165 Henry Road Pakenham.

Donations of clothing, accessories and homewares will be taken to the Australian Red Cross warehouse for distribution to their stores and programs to help those in need.    Donations of furniture, books, electrical items, and dirty, damaged, or unwearable items will not be accepted.

Don’t forget that Future Recycling Pakenham can accept electrical items (e-waste), batteries and scrap metal for free, any time of year.

Residents can also dispose of larger items such as furniture, electrical items and whitegoods or appliances by booking a hard waste collection for their property, a time convenient to them throughout the year.

To register for the event and for more information about Council’s waste drop-off events, visit www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/dropoff or call Council’s Customer Service Team on 1300 787 624.

Please note that Council’s waste drop-off events are run in line with current Victorian Government COVID-19 restrictions. Residents must not attend if they are unwell and must comply with all instructions as directed by staff.
