Forthcoming Work to Install Wombat Crossings On Balo Street

The two pedestrian crossings on Balo Street, before Gwydir and Albert Street(s) will be closed to traffic on Thursday and Friday while works take place to create wombat crossings; raised platforms that give prominence to pedestrians and encourage motorists to slow down upon approach.

These works will occur: Thursday 25 August – 7am to 10am Friday 26 August – 7am to 10 am

The Moree CBD will continue to be accessible to cars via Heber Street and parking will be available as normal.

Council is working to minimise disruptions to community members and businesses.
