Town Square, Fish Lane, South Brisbane, QLD 4101 Sunday, October 30, 2022, 2 – 4pm You are invited to join exhibiting artist Man&Wah for a terrarium planting workshop whilst diving deeper into the Outdoor Gallery’s exhibition <play/ground>.The workshop will involve participants creating and planting a living growing artwork to bring home in the form of a terrarium/or a desert terrarium. Why are plants inside a terrarium so green and healthy? A simple answer is - in essence, it's because they live in a happy home or ideal conditions for them to thrive! This idea then represents a metaphor reflected back to us with wonderings - if we live in a society where there are ideal conditions to thrive and grow, what would that look like, and how would we grow? How can we all create conditions within a concrete playground where there are spaces to devote focus to groundedness, joy, playfulness and nourishment? We can aim to create spaces to re-remember our connection to the seasonal and celestial cycles, alongside plants and animals. These ideas, wonderings and inspirations will inform the workshop as participants create their own terrarium.Bring a hat, water bottles, gardening gloves and grandparents.See more via the Outdoor Gallery Guide on the Brisbane APP.
