Are you KID-ding me, it’s school holiday time again?

Posted on September 5, 2022

There’s no excuse for the kids getting bored these September school holidays, with council’s jam-packed school holiday program stacked with 50 sessions to choose from.

Kicking off on 16 September 2022, activities will take place in Blackwater, Capella, Comet, Dingo, Duaringa, Emerald, Gemfields, Rolleston, Springsure and Tieri.

General Manager John McDougall is proud of the impressive program that’s been put together.

‘Our libraries and youth team love putting together these school holiday programs for the community,’ he said.

‘There’s something to suit every taste – sporty kids will love the chance to show off their latest tricks at the skate & pizza sessions, movie lovers can attend our variety of movie days, while indoor lovers can try their hand at craft sessions, or a robotics workshop.

‘It’s the perfect way for your kids to get out of the house, learn a new skill or even meet a new friend over the two-week program.’

The flagship Underage Rage Beach Party will be held in various locations over the two weeks and is the perfect event for youth to go wild, with music, games, food and drinks.
