The community is invited to have their say on the concept design of Dordaak Kepap, Landsdale’s Library and Youth Innovation Hub.

The concept design for the $10.2 million facility, which will be located at Broadview Park in Landsdale, features library and youth facilities including an open plan reading area with moveable shelving, public meeting rooms and activity rooms, a recording studio, control booth and podcasting room, a demonstration kitchen, and a gaming and virtual reality space.

Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said she was excited to see the project progress to the next stage, and looked forward to hearing the community’s feedback on the latest concept design.

“This project will provide our community in the City’s southern suburbs with a collaborative, educational and creative space for young people to learn new skills, as well as an interactive, inclusive community hub for people of all ages to enjoy,” Mayor Aitken said.

“Additionally, features such as Universal Access Toilets and a Changing Place facility will ensure the facility is accessible to the whole community.

“I encourage local residents to take the time to view the concept design on the City’s website and provide their feedback.”

Have your say on the concept design for Dordaak kepap during the community consultation period, which runs until 26 September 2022.

The City has received a $3 million State Government grant for the youth innovation hub, with construction of the facility scheduled for the 2023/24 financial year.
