Great Northern Clean Up postponed

Due to staff availability and a number of other big events on this weekend, council have decided to postpone the Great Northern Clean Up until 23 October 2022.

The Great Northern Clean Up is Clean Up Australia Day’s northern sibling, offering communities north of the Tropic of Capricorn the opportunity to participate between August and October.

This allows residents to help get litter out of the environment before the wet season washes it into waterways and out to sea.

The postponed event will still include a family fun day with free activities and sausage sizzle.
