City of Parramatta Council's Freedom of Entry parade for the crew of HMAS Parramatta has been cancelled following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Out of respect for Her Late Majesty, the event - scheduled for Friday 9 September - will not proceed.
"We will work closely with the Royal Australian Navy to explore the possibility of rescheduling the parade, if and when appropriate," City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Donna Davis said.
Flags across the City of Parramatta will be flown at half-mast in honour of Her Late Majesty.
