Roads update – 15 September

Flood damage grading crews are working on Collins Creek, Gonpa, Pirlos, Dyraaba and Boomi Creek roads. Once those jobs are completed, the grading crews will move on to Main Creek, Ryans Creek, Old Dyraaba, and Brumby Plains roads.

Flood damage repairs to drainage and minor landslips are progressing on Sargents, Homeleigh, Connells, Needhams, Glen Arvin, Forest, Iron Pot Creek, and Morrows roads. Similar works are planned for the near future for Horseshoe Creek, Williams, Jasper Iverson, Gradys Creek, Lynches Creek, Ghinni Ghi, Nolans, and Whites roads.

Piling continues on the bridge site on Capeen Creek Road, with the centre pier currently being formed up. Piling on the new bridge on Duck Creek Road should be completed today, when work on the abutments will start.

Work to build a side track around the new bridge site on Pines Road is expected to be completed today. The crew will then move to Iron Pot Creek where they start work on another bridge side track.

Piling has been completed on the new Trynneys Bridge, and has started on Secombes Bridge, both of which are on Tunglebung Creek Road. Construction of the new bridge on Green Pigeon Road has been delayed slightly until the piling rig is able to get there.

Council’s culvert crew has replaced culverts on Hillyards and Collins Creek roads.

Road construction works are continuing on Clarence Way at Sandilands, the Bruxner Highway at Mallanganee Range and Dyraaba Road.

Pothole patching is occurring on Fawcetts Plains Road, Omagh Road and Clarence Way.
