Fremantle's Adventureland is coming!

Free adventurous fun and maritime vibes will be sailing into Freo for the City of Fremantle’s upcoming school holiday activation.

Armed with a treasure trail map, families who visit Fremantle during the second week of the school holidays can follow a guided trail to unlock 8 free rides, crack a secret codeword, and go into the draw to win a bounty of prizes.

This free ticketed event aimed at families with children aged 2–12 years will lean into the port city’s nautical heritage and creative spirit.

Between Monday 3 and Sunday 9 October, four vibrant Freo locations will be transformed into magical adventure playgrounds:

Kids can choose to scale giant climbing walls, jump on pirate ships, bounce in a magical castle, tackle huge slides, or make their way through energetic obstacle courses.

Ticketholders can also enjoy competitions and special offers on food, drink and attractions from a range of Fremantle businesses.

There will be more free school holiday fun throughout Fremantle, including activities at Walyalup Koort, Fishing Boat Harbour, FOMO, the WA Shipwrecks Museum and Clancy’s Fish Pub. 

Families will be entertained at Walyalup Koort with music, buskers, roaming pirates, giant outdoor games, gardening workshops, traditional face painting, and pirate and adventure themed crafts. 

Mischief McGee will walk the plank during Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour’s daily pirate shows, then pirates will engage with families to take photos with the stocks and play treasure hunts, sack races and tug of war. 

WA Shipwrecks Museum’s school holiday trail will invite visitors to Fremantle to imagine themselves as shipwreck survivors and decorate their own take home treasure island map with stamps and fancy flourishes.

A pirate ‘Bubbleologist’ will get into the festive spirit at FOMO each day from 11 am to 2 pm, and kids will love the animal farm and fairy face painting at Clancy’s Fish Pub on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Fremantle’s Adventure Trail follows numerous successful school holidays activations staged by the City of Fremantle, ranging from dinosaur trails to superheroes, carnival rides and Easter egg hunts.

The City's most recent activation, July’s Freo Builds Trail, was one of their biggest to date, attracting more than 17,800 visitors across 14 days.
