Parents looking to continue their child’s learning outside the classroom, are encouraged to check out HJ Daley Library’s new selection of Spark! Junior Discovery Kits.
The collection of educational kits each come with assorted tools, resources and activities themed around nature or STEM-based careers, aimed at helping local children build their skills in a variety of educational fields ranging from core mathematics and science skills, such as measurement, sound, rock and mineral studies, to technology and virtual reality kits.
Each discovery kit is currently offered in two age categories: Junior (3-5 years old) and Child (6-12 years old).
“This is a wonderful opportunity for local children to approach their learning in a fun and interactive way outside of the classroom”, said Mayor George Greiss.
“By making these tools easily accessible at our libraries, children and parents can get hands-on with their learning, free of screens or other distractions”, said Cr. Greiss.
Spark! Discovery Kits are now available to reserve through the online library catalogue.
