Australia Day Award Nominations and Grant Applications now open!

Each year we hold Australia Day Awards which recognise and reward individuals and organisations that have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, and/or give an outstanding service over a number of years to the community, over and above normal employment duties. 

All residents of the West Tamar Municipal Area are eligible and nominations of non-residents who have made an outstanding contribution to the community will also be considered.

Nominations are now being accepted in the following categories:

Nomination forms can be completed on our website or collected from one of our Council Offices during business hours. Nominations close 5pm Tuesday 8th November 2022.

We also offer grants between $500-$2500 to assist community groups in the West Tamar municipality to hold community Australia Day events. Application forms and guidelines are available on the grants section of our website. Nominations close 5pm Wednesday 2nd November 2022.
