Calling all talent to The World stage

Ever wanted to be on the World Stage?  As part of Charters Towers 150 Year Celebrations, Council is holding a Talent Quest seeking uniquely talented people to enter an act for their chance to be crowned winner of Towers Got Talent!

Talented entertainers within the community are being encouraged to try out for this unique event and showcase their act or talent for their chance to be discovered.

Entries are now open for auditions, which will be held at The World Theatre on Friday, 14 October from 6pm. 

The event will be a PG event with the hope of a wide variety of acts to entertain the audience.  

Councillor Graham Lohmann is encouraging our talented locals of all ages to register now to share their talents.

“Whether you’re good at telling jokes, singing, or even an act of your own design, we’re encouraging everyone to have a go and enter Towers Got Talent!

“This could be your chance to be the next big act to come out of Charters Towers,” said Cr Lohmann.

Performers will be given 3 minutes to complete their acts, with the curtain being drawn between acts to allow for a quick set up time where necessary.  

The Judging panel will then send all lucky finalists through from the auditions to a Towers Got Talent! Grand Finale on Saturday, 29 October 2022. 

“The Grand Finale will be a night not to be missed and we’re hoping everyone will come along to support those performing.

“We’re excited to see the talented individuals and groups from our region up on stage,” Cr Lohmann said.
