Coordinator Parks and Open Spaces

The role:

As Coordinator Parks and Opens Spaces, you will be responsible for the maintenance and effective risk management of Council’s controlled open spaces throughout the municipality and lead Council’s Parks and Gardens and Land Protection sections.

What we are looking for:

You will have strong leadership skills including people management and negotiation skills You will be highly organised and have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate positive outcomes and have productive working relationships with stakeholders You will have strong supervisory skills to organise, supervise, motivate, and lead a team You will have a strong understanding of current issues and trends in horticulture, turf management and arboriculture, as relevant to local government You will also have strong planning skills and knowledge of open space maintenance operations You will have good levels of written and oral communication skills and sound computer related skills
