Do you know an individual or organisation who has gone above and beyond for the Charters Towers Region?
The Australia Day Awards Program gives the opportunity to publicly recognise the valuable contribution that individuals, community groups and organisations make in their communities.
Mayor Frank Beveridge is appealing to residents from across the region to nominate a noteworthy person or group whose commitment stands out.
“There are so many in our region who give selflessly of their time to make this a better place to live.”
“Our community would not be what it is without these people, a lot of whom volunteer in some way, across several different activities.
“These people generally don’t do it for the accolades but they reach out and do it in the spirit of caring for one another,” said Mayor Beveridge.
